Creating a campaign: campaign-level settings

Start a campaign in the Deal Form and complete the campaign-level fields.

To create a new campaign, click the 'Create Campaign' button at the top of the page.

  • Select 'Deal Form' for the form-based campaign creator.
  • Select 'Planner' for the map-based campaign creator.

Deal Form

If you choose to create in the Deal Form, you will land on the 'Deal Form' page, where you can start building your campaign.

The page is divided into three areas:

Area What it does
Campaign-Level Everything you enter here applies to every deal line you create
Deal Line-Level Where you define the deal line schedule and any frame targeting
Summary Panel Populates as you fill out the form, reflecting everything you specify at campaign and deal line level

Campaign-Level Information

Everything you specify at campaign level applies to every deal line you create, such as the campaign type and DSP.

Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk. The mandatory fields vary depending on the campaign type.

Campaign Type

You have the following options:

  • 'Non-Guaranteed Fixed Price' — a guaranteed price only campaign. This is the default setting.
  • 'Non-Guaranteed Floor Price' — both non-guaranteed price and impressions.
  • 'Guaranteed' — for both guaranteed price and impressions.

Tip: see the 'Programmatic Guaranteed Playbook for MOs' for more information on how to plan, sell, track and adjust your Guaranteed campaigns.

Campaign Name

You will be given a campaign name by default, but this is editable.

Tip: once you have set a status, the Campaign ID will be visible here.

Advertiser, Brand and Product Category

Specify the Advertiser and Brand for reporting purposes. The Product Category populates automatically depending on the Advertiser and Brand selected.

For Non-Guaranteed campaigns, Fixed or Floor price, these three fields are optional. For Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) campaigns they remain mandatory.

Use the 'Skip' button to move straight into the Deal Line details panel, or click directly within the panel.

Tip: for Always On Non-Guaranteed (NG) campaigns, use a high-level taxonomy — 'default' values — and apply the Advertiser and Brand information at creative level.

Tip: searching for a Brand, Agency or Specialist is not case-sensitive. You can enter a name in any mix of upper and lower case and still get matching results.

DSP

You can only assign one DSP per campaign. DSP drop-downs are sorted alphabetically.

Tip: to quickly set up multiple campaigns for different DSPs, use the campaign duplication feature.

Deals Synchronisation

For The Trade Desk (TTD) and DV360, Deals Sync is part of DSP selection. You do not need to open 'Campaign settings' to enable it.

After you select TTD or DV360, the 'DSP Seat ID' (Buyer ID) field appears. The Seat ID is mandatory and must be provided by the agency.

All deals for TTD and DV360 are synced automatically via the Deals Sync API.

Important: TTD does not accept manually created deals on their platform. This applied from 5 February 2026. DV360 has formally communicated that they are deprecating manually created deals from 30 June 2026.

Optional Fields

The following fields are optional to complete, but can be helpful for reporting purposes:

  • 'Agency'
  • 'Specialist'
  • 'Ext.reference'
  • 'Sales Person'
  • 'Sales Team'

Priority

Use the campaign 'Priority' feature to set a Non-Guaranteed campaign to either 'Standard' or 'Preferred' priority. By default, Non-Guaranteed campaigns are set to 'Standard'.

  • 'Preferred' campaigns have priority over 'Standard' campaigns.
  • 'Preferred' campaigns always have the option to win, regardless of price.
  • If two Preferred buyers bid, the bidder with the highest price wins.
  • If two Preferred buyers bid at the same auction at the same price, the first to bid wins.

Please note: Guaranteed campaigns take absolute priority over any other campaigns during trading. See the 'Real Time Trading Hour' video for more information.

CPM

Set the CPM using the 'CPM' field.

You can only have one CPM per campaign unless you have multi-line CPM enabled. When enabled, use the toggle to apply the CPM at deal line level. This is useful when you have different frames, formats and networks trading at different CPMs.

Creative Submission

The 'Allow creative submission' toggle lets DSPs submit creatives directly from a bid response, for DSPs that do not support the Creative Submission API.

The toggle applies to Non-Guaranteed deals only, both Fixed and Floor price. It can be applied retrospectively to deals that are already live.
