Deal line settings: name, schedule and dayparts
Name a deal line, set its schedule and build custom hours and dayparts.
After you have completed the necessary campaign-level information, you can start building your first deal line. Mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk.
Deal Line Name
You will be given a deal line name by default, but this can be edited.
Tip: once you have set a status, the Deal Line ID will be visible here.
Schedule
Use the 'Schedule' section to specify the start and end date for your deal line.
Please note: for Guaranteed campaigns, you can only create a deal line with a maximum date range of 6 months.
Use the 'Pattern' section to target specific days and hours within that schedule.
Custom Hours and Dayparts
All days in your schedule default to full-day targeting, which means all available trading hours. A sun icon on a tile indicates that a full day is being targeted.
The 'Pattern' area shows one week by default.
To exclude specific days from the schedule, select the day or days and click the '–' button. Excluded days appear unselected, with a white background.
To select multiple days, hold 'Command' on a Mac or 'Ctrl' on Windows, and click the days you want.
To apply custom hours to a day instead of a full day, select the day or days and use the 'Custom' start and end time drop-down menus. Once you have applied custom hours, the tile updates to a clock icon.
- To apply multiple custom hour ranges to the selected days, select the '+' next to the time fields.
- To remove a custom hour range, click the '–' next to the time fields.
Repeat schedules default to one week. If you want the same days and hours every week for the length of your deal line schedule, apply the pattern to the first week and it will repeat.
To target different days and hours in different weeks, click the '+' at the end of the day row to extend the repeat window to two, three or more weeks.
In the example below, the deal line is set up to run:
- 05/03/2025 – 01/04/2025
- Monday to Friday
- 07:00 – 08:59 and 17:00 – 19:59
Important: changing the start or end date of a saved deal after setting a pattern will reset existing patterns. You will need to re-apply them.
