The Diagnostics tab
Loss reasons and unsold impressions affecting your trading.
The 'Diagnostics' tab gives you an overview of all the loss reasons that occurred in the time period you have filtered on. It is best used filtered by Deal ID, to troubleshoot a specific campaign.
The Loss Reasons chart
The 'Loss Reasons' chart shows the loss reasons that have occurred, by date.
Loss reasons fall into three categories.
| Category | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Demand-related | Loss reasons generated by the Exchange at the trading point |
| Supply-related | Reasons that lie on the Media Owner side, for example offline frames. A frame is considered offline if it has not sent any bid requests for a full hour |
| Other | Various reasons that cannot yet be singled out. Most notably, this includes cases of insufficient supply |
Tip: for a detailed list of loss reasons, see the Loss Reason Glossary in the 'Helpful Resources' section of the Resource Centre.
Finding the creative behind a loss reason
Drill down on a loss reason to find out more about it. For example, if you see the loss reason CREATIVE_FILTERED_DISAPPROVED, find the creative affecting trading:
- Right-click the chart and select 'Drill down'.
- Select 'Creative ID'.
The chart updates to show the Creative IDs affecting trading.
The Unsold Impressions table
The 'Unsold Impressions' table shows how many impressions were unsold by day and hour, broken down by Deal ID, Line ID, Frame ID and Creative ID.
Tip: when you track Always On campaigns, pivot the table by Creative ID to see the list of creatives affecting trading.
Loss reasons for Guaranteed campaigns
For Programmatic Guaranteed campaigns, the 'Loss Reasons by Campaign' chart on the 'Pacing' tab shows the loss reasons for all underperforming campaigns in one place. See The Pacing tab.
