The Pacing tab

Track Guaranteed deal delivery against target using the OSI.

The 'Pacing' tab is designed to track Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) campaigns only. Using the On-Schedule Indicator (OSI), you can see how campaigns are pacing towards their booked budget or impressions, and identify those that need troubleshooting.

Key statistics

  • 'Number of Live PG Deals'
  • 'Number of Frames'
  • 'Live Underpacing Deals'

The Pacing Summary by Campaign ID / Deal Line ID table

By default, the 'Pacing Summary by Campaign ID / Deal Line ID' table shows only PG campaigns that are currently running, in Live status. Campaigns are sorted from the lowest OSI to the highest, so you can quickly identify those that need troubleshooting.

You can filter on one or more Campaign IDs from this table to troubleshoot underperforming campaigns without leaving the 'Pacing' tab. You can also schedule automated report exports from this table to your inbox.

OSI colour code

The colour of the 'Impression OSI' column shows whether a campaign is underpacing.

Colour Delivery Meaning
Red Under 98% of what was allocated to the frame and hour Your campaign is underpacing
Amber Between 98% and 99.9% of what was allocated to the frame and hour Your campaign is underpacing
Green 100% of what was allocated to the frame and hour Your campaign is on pace

Tip: the same OSI thresholds appear on the Delivery Card when you edit a Guaranteed deal line. See Reviewing a deal line: Action Bar and Summary Panel.

Metrics in the table

Metric Calculation or definition
Impression OSI Traded Impressions / Expected Impressions (Elapsed) x 100
Expected Impressions (Elapsed) How many impressions should have traded by now
Total Sold Impressions The number of sold impressions
Total Expected Impressions Total allocated impressions for the campaign

The table also shows Win Rate, Bid Rate, Total Unsold Impressions, Total Expected Plays, Total Traded Plays, Total Bid Requests, Total Bid Responses, Total Offered Impressions, Total Expected Revenue, eCPM and Deal Status.

The Loss Reasons by Campaign chart

The 'Loss Reasons by Campaign' chart shows the loss reasons for all underperforming campaigns in one place.

Pacing charts for a single campaign

To troubleshoot further, filter on a specific campaign. Right-click the Deal ID in the pacing summary table and select 'Filter'.

Hourly Impression OSI by Frame ID, Visual Unit ID, Product Format, Venue Taxonomy

This table gives the hourly impression OSI for each frame or Visual Unit. It helps you identify the frame or Visual Unit that is not delivering as expected.

You can toggle between Frame ID, Visual Unit ID, Product Format and Venue Taxonomy.

Please note: a gap in the table means that the frame was not allocated for that hour.

Traded Impressions, Expected Impressions & Impression OSI, over time

Use this chart to see whether your campaign is on track to deliver what it was expected to deliver.

  • The green line shows traded impressions.
  • The red line shows expected impressions.
  • The yellow line shows the Impression OSI throughout the campaign.

You can see daily and hourly impression data, with traded data from the start date of the campaign up to the previous hour.

Please note: if you have reallocated your deal line, use the 'Latest Allocation' filter to see data since the latest allocation.

Tip: to identify or validate the loss reasons affecting your Guaranteed campaign, go to the 'Diagnostics' tab. For the full process, see Troubleshooting an underpacing Guaranteed campaign.
