Reviewing a deal line: Action Bar and Summary Panel

Check availability, the proposal, frame list, allocation report and delivery card.

Action Bar

The 'Action Bar' contains buttons that allow you to perform specific actions when setting up deal lines. If a button is greyed out, you are not at the stage where you can perform that action. For example, you cannot duplicate or create a new deal line before you have set up and saved your first deal line.

  • 'Terminate Line' — terminates a deal line. When you have created multiple deal lines and a line is not live yet, you will see a rubbish bin icon instead, which deletes the line.
  • 'Clear Form' — clears every field entry on the form.
  • 'Create Deal Line' — creates a new deal line.
  • 'Duplicate Deal Line' — duplicates the deal line. The duplicated line is a direct copy of the selected line.
  • 'Save Deal Line' — saves a new deal line, or saves changes to the line you are editing.
  • 'Edit Campaign Info' — opens the Campaign Info overlay panel so you can edit campaign-level information.
  • 'Save Campaign Info' — saves any changes you have made to the campaign-level information.
  • 'Check Allocation' — checks the allocated frames and impressions for a Guaranteed deal line before it is confirmed or sent for approval.

Tip: if you have changed any deal line-level information, select 'Save Deal Line'. If you have changed anything at campaign level, select 'Save Campaign Info'.

Summary Panel

As you build your deal line, the Summary Panel updates and shows you availability.

Availability

For Non-Guaranteed deal lines, the 'Availability' card shows you key details such as:

  • Cost
  • Available Impressions
  • Available Frames

Proposal and Goal

For Guaranteed deal lines, once you have built your line, select the 'Check Allocation' button.

The 'Proposal' card then provides a suggested solution for your deal line, including:

  • Cost, calculated as CPM × impressions ÷ 1000
  • Proposed Allocated Impressions
  • Available Impressions
  • Proposed Allocated Frames
  • Available Frames

If you make changes to your deal line scope, select 'Check Allocation' to run a new availability call.

The 'Goal' card reflects any targets entered in the 'Target' field.

Please note: the 'Goal' card is not your booked solution.

Frame List

Use the 'Frame List' feature in the Summary Panel to see a detailed list of the frames targeted.

The 'Frame Details' window opens to show you granular frame details, including Frame ID, Address, Postcode, Coordinates, Motion Type, Slot Duration and Town.

Motion Type tells you whether the frame supports still or motion creatives. Slot Duration tells you the duration of creatives needed for the frames in your deal line.

Select the 'Export list' button at the top of the 'Frame Details' window to download the list as an Excel file.

The downloaded file is named using the Deal ID and Campaign Name, in the format [Deal ID] – [Campaign Name]_YYYY-MM-DD_HH_MM, so you can identify which campaign a file belongs to without opening it.

Allocation Report

For Guaranteed deal lines, use the 'Allocation Report' to see a detailed view of how your deal line is expected to deliver.

Tip: the report button becomes available once you have selected the 'Check Allocation' button.

The Allocation Report provides an end-to-end allocation plan from start to finish, allowing you to see frame level details down to the day and hour. You can see the report broken down by impressions, frames or Share of Time.

By default, you will see all the frames listed in your proposed solution, with the number of impressions per frame for the full duration of your deal line.

  • Use the 'Metrics' drop-down to change the metric you are viewing.
  • Use the 'Group by' drop-down to group the list of frames by 'City', 'Product Format', or both.
  • Click and drag the 'Product Format' and 'City' tabs to change the grouping order.
  • Click the week and day tabs to expand and collapse the report, down to hourly level.
  • Select 'Export report' to download the report as an XLSX file.

Tip: if you create multiple deal lines, use the 'Deal line' drop-down to switch between the allocation reports for each deal line. You will also see the status of the deal line, once set.

You can also use the Allocation Report when editing deal lines, comparing the new proposal with the existing allocation before saving the changes. If you edit your deal line and re-check the allocation:

  • Select the report button in the 'Allocation' card to see the current allocation.
  • Select the report button in the 'Proposal' card to see the new proposed allocation.

You can pivot between the two reports using the 'New Proposal' and 'Allocation' toggles.

Delivery Card

When a Guaranteed deal line is in Live, Terminated or Ended status, you will see the Delivery Card in the Summary Panel, showing detailed information about the OSI (On-Schedule Indicator).

The Delivery Card is useful for assessing deal line performance against delivery targets, so you can take corrective action where necessary. It shows:

  • Traded impressions
  • Remaining impressions
  • Expected impressions
  • OSI

The OSI is displayed as a colour-coded percentage bar based on the following thresholds:

Colour OSI Meaning
Green 100% Traded = Expected
Yellow 99.9% to 98% Traded < Expected
Red Below 98% Traded < Expected

The 'Check Allocation' button is renamed 'Reallocate' if the OSI falls below 100%, and an additional message is displayed: "Your OSI is off track. Try reallocating your deal line to meet your target."

Select 'Reallocate' to rerun the allocation engine and get your deal line back on track to deliver in full.
